Safety evaluation of microwave irradiation by hematological response

To understand the effect of microwave irradiation on the living body, the hematological response of 10 healthy male beagles to microwave irradiation was investigated. Two microwave generator units were placed face to face, 60 cm apart from each other, and the beagles were irradiated for 6 seconds  at 3-second intervals, twice each from the front and the back direction. This process was repeated every day for three days.  The table below shows the quantitative changes in blood components before the microwave irradiation, immediately after microwave radiation and 1 – 4 weeks after microwave irradiation.
While interesting changes such as an increase in neutrophils among white blood cells were observed, no hematologically problematic data was identified.
